Few Good Men!!!

In a world where relationships to an extent are superficial and emotions are shallow, some of these fictional characters help us restore our faith and trust in Love and Commitment.

“Once in awhile, right in the middle of an ordinary life, love gives us a fairy tale.” ~ Unknown
When we think of ‘A Knight in Shining Armour,’ the one name that stands out distinctly in our minds is none other than Maan Singh Khurana of Geet Hui Sabse Parayi. The perfect Debonair with a heart of gold. “Tum Maan ki baahon mein ho Geet. Hawa ko bhi tum tak pahoochne ke liye meri ijazat leni hogi. Tum ghabrao mat.” For a woman these are just not mere words, but means of assurance that to someone she is the World. A woman can forgo every trauma in life if she can have a Man like Maan as her Mahi…her ‘Anchor.’ As much as we love Geet, we envy her for being blessed with a husband like Maan because being a Man’s wife is ordinary but being Maan’s Life is extra-ordinary.
“It is the heart that makes a man rich. He is rich according to what he is and not according to what he has.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher
Mujhe apne biwi par pura bharosa hai…these golden words saved Priya from getting humiliated in public because of Ashwin. Ram of Bade Acchey Lagte Hai may not be the man Priya had desired for, but today she must be proud to have him in her life. Ram might not be head over heals for Priya, but he definitely respects and trusts her. He has also stood up for her family as and when required. They may not be living like husband and wife but there is an unspoken bond, which binds them together. If there is trust and respect, love cannot be far away. Its not going to be long before Priya realizes that the voice she had once heard in the hotel rest room, sharing the void of his life and with whom she felt a connect instantly was none other than Ram.
“Life is a journey and love is what makes that journey worth while” ~ Unknown
Every girl has her own share of apprehensions when getting into an arrange marriage but Jeevika in Ek Hazaron Mein Meri Behna Hai has been extremely fortunate to find a man like Viren. A lawyer by profession, Viren is not only practical and grounded but is sincere too. He is neither cynical nor oblivious to his surroundings and the people who matter to him. He values the emotions and sentiments of his loved ones and plays the balancing act effortlessly. Every girl desires that her man would understand her and her family without having to say much and Viren does that beautifully. He not only loves and trusts Jivika, but also honours her family. Marriage is not a destination, but the beginning of a new journey and with a companion like Viren one can surely hope that Jivika will always be able to overcome every obstacle in life.

“The supreme happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved – loved for ourselves, or rather loved inspite of ourselves.” ~ Victor Hugo
Raghuvendra Pratap Rathore of Uttran is a smart, intelligent, wealthy, and practical man who comes with an attitude that suggests, “don’t dare to mess with me.” However, it’s amazing how he falls in love with a woman like Tapasya and eventually wins her over. Tapasya who was rejected by her loved ones for all the wrong doings found acceptance in this complete stranger. It’s unbelievable to see Tapasya have a husband like Rathod who loves her with all he has even after knowing that she is responsible for losing their only child. A character like Rathore instills the faith that there are probably men out there who will love and accept you for who you are or inspite of who you are.
“We come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.” ~ Sam Keen
Jab hum pati patni hai toh hamari pareekshaye alag kaise ho sakti hai. Suraj of Diya aur Baati Hum does not belong to the above league of men, but still he is no less desirable. A man lacking in proper education and ambition is not what Sandhya dreamt of but destiny has bonded her with Suraj. Ever since their marriage, Suraj for no fault of his has time and again faced the wrath of Sandhya and each time made futile efforts to get to the truth. Even though Sandhya has not been able to accept this mismatch, Suraj on every occasion has extended his support towards her. He may not be highly qualified but he displays values and morals, which are difficult to find among the qualified class of men. It takes a lot of courage and patience to keep aside one’s Ego and tolerate the kind of denial and rejection that Sandhya put forth on their night of consummation. Suraj is a very simple hearted man whose happiness lies in the well-being of his family. By nature he is polite and a man of few words, yet he manages to read the pain behind Sandhya’s silence and makes repeated efforts to understand and comfort her. We hope that Sandhya soon understands and values the worthiness of this man who inspite of being her husband, never crossed the line of honour.
God may not shower us with what we WANT, but he always blesses us with what we NEED. Not all the men we discussed on Rangmunch today may be perfect or desired by their companion, yet when we look deep into their relationship, we soon realize they are the “made for each other couple.”

The Bond of Friendship!

Friends are people we choose in our lives and hence they are extremely special. A Friend is someone you can trust completely, someone who always wants the best for you, someone who finds time to meet you despite of the busy schedule and at the same time gives you space when required. A friend accepts you for who you are and loves you inspite of the differences and imperfections.

Today, Rangmunch.TV brings to you the stories of friends and friendship that is currently being shown in your favourite shows.
Bade Acche Lagte Hai (Sony): Logically speaking, along with Ashwin, Shruti was equally responsible for breaking Priya’s heart. If Ashwin loved Priya then, Shruti too was Priya’s Best Friend. But when they both decided to tie the knot, neither Ashwin nor Shruti felt the need to inform Priya about their decision. Currently, Ashwin has been using Priya and Shruti’s friendship as bait to get close with Priya. Even though Priya is oblivious to Ashwin’s plans, do you agree to what she is doing now in the name of friendship? To what extent would you go to help a friend like Shruti in real life? Do you think Priya has always been biased towards Shruti?
Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Sony): Probably for the first time we are witnessing a difference of opinion between Nidhi and Angi. While Nidhi does not find anything wrong in loving Dr. Ashutosh irrespective of the huge age gap that prevails between them, Angi thinks otherwise. Being childhood friends, Angi feels that it’s her moral responsibility to protect Nidhi, her best friend, from any kind of undesirable situation that may lead to trouble and result in heartache. According to Angi, Dr. Ashutosh is not the right match for Nidhi, but she is unable to make Nidhi realize that. Angi is extremely hurt because probably for the first time Nidhi over ruled her opinion and decided to follow her heart. Do you think Angi’s anger and frustration towards Nidhi is justified? Do you think Angi is right in advising Nidhi to stay away from Dr. Ashutosh? What would you do if you were in Angi’s shoes?
Navya (Star Plus): We have always admired the love and friendship that Navya and Ananat shared with Appy, Ritz and Ranveer. However, with the end of college life, Anant and Navya have now headed towards a new beginning. Both of them have decided to focus on their career and become responsible individuals. While Anant is joining his Dad’s business, Navya has a new job. But amidst all this action, Navya forgot to inform Appy and Ritz about her new found happiness, her job which obviously disappointed her friends. Probably this was the first time when Navya forgot to share the good news with her best friends. Even though Navya did not do it intentionally, but she did land up hurting Appy and Ritz. On the last day of college, may be this is what Appy meant when she said that only she will be left alone as Ritz has Ranveer and Navya has Anant to share the highs and lows of their lives. Have any of you faced a similar situation where your best friend simply forgot to share a good news with you? Did you feel ignored at that point in time and how did you deal with it?
Rangmunch.TV would love to know which of the above Friend and situation do you relate to the most? How would you react and resolve such situations in real life?

News Bar: The Week Back and Forth…!

Rangmunch.TV is back with an entire week’s round up on your favourite shows.

Sasural Genda Phool (Star Plus): Eshwar’s entry to the Kashyap household brings in huge tornado. Tension mounts by the day, which results in clash and outbursts from Bauji to his not so wanted son Eshwar. No matter how genuine Eshwar’s efforts are in wanting to get back, one must pay penance for ones mistakes and misgivings. Eshwar therefore has a long, painful road ahead. In the city of Mumbai, Suhana is trying her best to be the ideal homemaker but poor thing can’t just get it right. She is adorable as a messy and goofy Suhana and for that we completely love her. She is trying her best to make things work (thumbs up for that). Suhana for all you know might be that one person to bring back the sunshine and remove the dark clouds from the Kashyap family. Will things get resolved with the Kashyap ‘s or will it take turn for the worse? Will Suhana be that ray of hope to get things right? Do not miss the Monday episode to know more.

Dharampatni (Imagine TV): While Kastur is trying to fit into the Gala parivaar and keep everyone happy, she also ends up taking the blame for things that is not her fault at all. This does not go unnoticed by Mohan who is slowly warming up to her presence in his life. Mohan and Kastur spend some lighter moments getting to know each other making those scenes the highlights of the week. On a serious note, all through the week, we saw Kastur’s mother in law, Saroj, continue to be hell bent on misunderstanding Kastur’s good intentions. Despite Mohan’s attempt at explaining Kastur’s innocence to his mother, Saroj fails to see Kastur as anything but a conniving, unworthy wife for her son. How soon will Kastur’s selfless, thoughtful nature win over the mother-son duo is something we will have to wait and watch. Will at least one of them open their hearts to her this coming week? Let us hope so.
Bade Acche Lagte Hai (Sony): Priya unknowingly falls prey to Siddharth’s plan and convinces Ram to allow her to conduct the communication skills training for his employees. While Ashwin thinks that Priya is all ready to rekindle the old flames, least does he know that he is digging his own grave by trying to get close to Priya. The compatibility quiz that Priya plays with Ram was the cutest moment. “Aloo Paratha” is Ram’s computer password, does that surprise anyone??
Hawan (Colors): Keerat is not only upto his tricks to create disturbance and misunderstandings between Atharva and Aastha but very tactfully uses Baapji too. During the mehendi ceremony Keerat tries his malicious ways to be one up with Aastha but fails miserably. This not only riles him up but also gets him more determined than ever to ruin all the marriage rituals. On the other hand Samar Singh is adamant to stop the construction of the hospital and this time gets the village people and plays a very smart hand in name of religion. This definitely brings the much-awaited twist in the story. Baapji’s decision does not falter and he goes on to tell everyone that all will go according to the prescribed plan. The coming week will show major conflicting emotions as Atharva and Baapji will face obstacles in the name of Keerat and Samar Singh.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya (Star Plus): “Jhoot bole kauwa kaate kale kauwe se dario, tu maike chali jayegi tu dekhti rahiyo.” It was indeed a very happy moment for all the viewers to see Rashi finally get exposed before the entire Modi family. While Kokila was always suspicious about Raashi’s intentions and kept a strict eye on her, it came as a major shock to Jigar’s mother who could not believe that Raashi had been lying to them from day one. As the verdict is given to Raashi to leave the house, it would now be interesting to see how Raashi’s mother deals with this situation and turns things in favour of her daughter.
With this Rangmunch.TV wish you all a very Happy Weekend !!!
